NEW JERSEY/NEW YORK - Turkish State Minister Mustafa Said Yazicioglu, who arrived in the United States to attend Turkish Parade activities, held meetings in New Jersey on Saturday.
He met Turks in New Jersey, and listened to their problems. Yazicioglu said that they were exerting efforts to solve problems of Turks.
Upon a question whether closure of political parties would hamper democracy in Turkey, Yazicioglu said that democracy would not be hampered in Turkey, adding that stability would not be lost and freedoms would not be limited. He said that the address of solution to problems was Parliament.
Yazicioglu also visited Ulu Mosque.
He will depart from New York on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Turkish folk dances were performed at Times Square in New York within the scope of the 27th Turkish Parade and Festival.
