W.W.F. To Hold Its Annual Conference In Turkey

BODRUM - More than 200 wildlife protectors from 56 countries will meet in Aegean resort town of Bodrum for the international annual meeting of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) to be held from May 24th to 27th, WWF said on Friday.
WWF Turkey press officer Deniz Silliler Tapan told the A.A that WWF, which has more than 6 million supporters in over 100 countries, has been holding its annual conferences in different countries every year to set international priorities and approaches to wildlife protection.
"Participants, who are the chairpersons and high level officials of WWF in their countries, will discuss global climate change, which is the biggest threat to 21st century, at this year`s meeting in Bodrum," Tapan said.
WWF is working to stop the degradation of the planet`s natural environment and to build a future in which humans will live in harmony with nature, by conserving the world`s biological diversity, ensuring the sustainable use of renewable natural resources, and promoting the reduction of pollution and wasteful consumption, Tapan said.
