BERLIN - Spring term meetings of the Parliamentary assembly of NATO began Friday at the German Parliament (Reichstag) in Berlin.
Turkey is represented at the meeting with a delegation of 12 officials headed by Justice and Development (AK) Party Deputy Vahit Erdem. Erdem told AA that the Turkish delegation would attend a series of committee meetings on topics like politics, economy, science, technology, defense and security.
Erdem said a total of 16 reports on issues concerning the NATO would be discussed at the meetings and said these reports would take their final form in the Parliamentary Assembly meetings in fall.
Erdem said the NATO strategy document would be discussed at the General Assembly meeting on May 27th.
NATO`s SG Jaap de Hoop Scheffer and German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier will also attend the meetings which will end on May 27th.
