SAFRANBOLU - An event celebrating Turkish-Japanese friendship will be held in Safranbolu town of the northern city of Karabuk.
Karabuk Governorship has taken a decision to celebrate May 24th as the Turkish-Japanese Friendship every year in order to enhance relations between the two nations.
Turkish-Japanese day celebrations --held in 2007 for the first time in Safranbolu-- will begin with a "Bonodori" show -traditional Japanese folk dance.
Also a Japanese cuisine feast and a "tea ceremony" will be held under the event. Calligraphy and Kendo (Japanese fencing) shows are among other activities to be held under the event.
Japan`s Ambassador to Ankara Nobuaki Tanaka will also attend the celebrations.
