ISTANBUL - Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen said Friday "as Turkish firms, we eye a role in the success story of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Abu Dhabi".
Tuzmen met businessmen from the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry in Istanbul on Friday.
Addressing the businessmen, Tuzmen said that Turkey is eager to increase its trade with the UAE to 10 billion USD.
"We expect more companies from the UAE to undertake projects in Turkey. Turkey`s privatization projects offer opportunities for businessmen from the UAE", Tuzmen said.
"We also wish for Turkish contractors to be active in infrastructure and superstructure projects in the UAE", Tuzmen said.
Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry Saleh Salem Bin Omeir Al Shamsi said that "The opening of branch offices by Turkish companies in Abu Dhabi will play a vital role in boosting bilateral trade ", Al Shamsi said.
