Talat And Christofias Meet In Buffer Zone In Lefkosa

LEFKOSA - President Mehmet Ali Talat of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and the Greek Cypriot administration leader Demetris Christofias met in the buffer zone in Lefkosa on Friday.
Talat and Christofias will assess the work of the bi-communal technical and working committees which have been making necessary preparations for extensive talks in Cyprus.
Turkish Cypriot representative for EU & UN talks Ozdil Nami and Greek Cypriot envoy George Iacovou are also attending the meeting at the residence of UN envoy to Cyprus Taye-Brook Zerihoun in the buffer zone.
Talat and Christofias met at the buffer zone on March 21st. The two leaders agreed to set up working groups and technical committees to make preparations for extensive talks for the solution of the Cyprus issue.
