ANKARA - Foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank dropped by 278 million U.S. dollars between July 16 and 23, 2004.
According to the Central Bank's weekly statement, the Central Bank's foreign exchange reserves, which were 32,796 million U.S. dollars on July 16, dropped to 32,518 million U.S. dollars on July 23.
On the other hand, the total of foreign exchange reserves of banks and private finance organizations rose by 522 million U.S. dollars, from 14,275 million U.S. dollars to 14,797 million U.S. dollars, between July 2nd and 9th.
The international reserves of Turkey, comprising gold and foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank, commercial banks and private finance organizations, climbed 1.060 billion U.S. dollars from 48,859 million to 49,919 million U.S. dollars between July 2nd and 9th.
