TEHRAN - Iranian Communication & Information Technology Minister Ahmad Motamedi said on Thursday that they have reached an agreement enabling Turkish GSM firm Turkcell to serve in Iran market as the second operator.
Motamedi told reporters that, to this end, they would give necessary license to Irancell, which is comprised of Turkcell, Ericsson and few small Iranian companies.
Reminding that Turkcell is ready to provide a guarantee in the amount of 300 million Euros to Iran, Motamedi added that the necessary permit is not issued yet by Tehran authorities.
