IRAN TO DECLARE PKK AS TERRORIST ORGANIZATION
The Chairman of Iranian Expediency Council Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani told Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan that they also suffered from PKK, adding that PKK clashes with their security forces in the Kurdish region in the north. Meanwhile, Iran is expected to declare PKK as terrorist organization today.

YOK BLOW TO TRNC
Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) was shocked when Higher Education Board (YOK) cancelled TRNC's right to receive students at universities with preliminary registration. TRNC Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Talat was involved in the issue for withdrawal of the decision of YOK.

VATICAN FORMULA
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan proposed Energy and Natural Resources Minister Hilmi Guler to put into practice the formula used in election of Pope, regarding the natural gas agreement: ''Stay in a room with the Iranian minister, and don't leave the room until you reach an agreement.'' Erdogan responded to the United States, who opposed to transportation of Iranian natural gas to Europe via Turkey, and warned that ''it could impose sanctions''. Erdogan recalled other western countries who signed an agreement with Iran and said, ''we are determined to improve our relations with our neighbors just as how everybody makes investments with his/her neighbors.'' Two energy ministers will work until Erdogan completes his visit to Iran. Official statements to be made this (Thursday) evening will set outlines of an agreement.''

FENERBAHCE TO CONTINUE WITH DAUM
Fenerbahce soccer club's chairman Aziz Yildirim and coach Christoph Daum had a meeting that lasted for about 4.5 hours. When Daum apologized for discussing problems in front of the press, a compromise is reached. Daum will continue to coach Fenerbahce.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan met the Chairman of Iranian Expediency Council Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani and Iranian First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref. Whatever Erdogan said about PKK, Cyprus and Palestine issues, Aref replied, ''we agree''.

ERDOGAN TAKES ACTION FOR TURKCELL'S INVESTMENT IN IRAN
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan who continues his meetings in Iran met Cukurova Group Executive Board Chairman Mehmet Emin Karamehmet at Turkish Embassy Residence. Erdogan is trying to overcome problems regarding Turkcell (company of Cukurova Group) which will make investment for the second GSM network in Iran.

EARLY ELECTIONS IN TRNC
The ongoing economic crisis in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) was overcome with the decision to hold early elections. TRNC Council of Ministers decided to hold early elections on November 6th, but it will firstly ask other parties if they approve holding the elections on this date.

SEPARATE WOMEN-MEN DIPLOMACY
Two separate welcome ceremonies were held for Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is paying a three-day visit to Iran, and his wife Emine Erdogan at Iran's Sadabat Palace. Erdogan was welcomed by Mohammad Reza Aref, the Iranian First Vice President. Emine Erdogan, who came to the palace by a separate vehicle, was welcomed by Aref's wife.

SIX-HEADED ADMINISTRATION
It has been revealed that problems of historical artifacts stem from authority chaos. For example, Directorate General of Foundations is responsible for repairing the mosques, while their maintenance is under authority of the Directorate General of Religious Affairs, while the governor's offices are authorized to keep their security. Municipalities are preparing environmental projects, but the projects are approved by the Culture Ministry.

''WE WILL SERVE WHATEVER THE PUNISHMENT IS''
Suleyman Karaman, the Director General of Turkish State Railways (TCDD), said, ''let's first see the reports experts will prepare after the high-speed train crash. Then, we will bear whatever the cost is.'' On the other hand, Turkish Republican People's Party (CHP) called on the parliament for an extraordinary session on August 3rd. CHP is planning to present a censure motion in the extraordinary session.

EXPERTS: NOTHING IS LEFT AT THE SCENE OF TRAIN CRASH
Two teams of experts are working on the high-speed train crash. The court delegation said, ''there is no evidence left. It will take a month to prepare a report.''

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan mainly discussed economy and terrorism on the first day of his visit to Iran. Erdogan told Iranian First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref, ''you have started to suffer from terrorism as well. We shall not pay big prices.'' Aref promised to do what is required about the issue.
