ADAPAZARI - The Civil Court no:3 in Adapazari Wednesday rejected a request for release of the two engineers and chief of the train which derailed last week in Sakarya, killing 38 people.
Lawyer Ismail Gurses presented a petition to the court, requesting for release of his clients Recep Sonmez and Fikret Karabulut, the engineers, and Koksal Coskun, the chief.
The court rejected the request and decided that suspects would remain arrested as the report by experts has not been prepared yet.
Lawyer Gurses said that they would wait for completion of the report and his clients would appear at court within thirty days.
A non-stop train derailed near Pamukova town of northwestern province of Sakarya on July 22, killing 38 people and injuring 80 others.
