ANKARA - Turkey and Spain signed on Wednesday a protocol on financial cooperation.
Turkish Treasury Undersecretary Ibrahim Canakci and Pedro Mejia Gomez, the Spanish Secretary of State of Tourism and Commerce, signed the protocol in a ceremony held in Turkish capital of Ankara.
A statement of Canakci's Office said that the protocol envisaged that Spain is going to provide 300 million euros financing in order to support public projects and small and medium scale enterprises in Turkey.
The statement noted that 5 million euros would be granted for feasibility works, while 30 million euros would be used to finance goods to be imported from Spain by Turkish small and medium scale enterprises, and the remaining 265 million would finance public projects to be carried out by Spanish companies in Turkey.
