ANTALYA - The 41st Antalya ''Golden Orange'' Film Festival, the most prominent cultural activity of Turkish motion picture industry, will be held between October 3 and 9, 2004, sources said on Wednesday.
The 13-member organization committee, formed by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the Antalya Culture and Art Foundation (AKSAV) officials, has intensified its efforts to ready the program of this year's festival.
The committee members also said that next year's 42nd Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival would be an international one.
Highlighting the importance of bringing the international dimension to the festival, the commission members said that they also targeted to integrate the festival with tourism.
Pointing out that all films would be shown with Turkish and English subtitles, the commission members said that in the past foreign tourists could not watch the Turkish films due to lack of English subtitles .
On the other hand, the 10th International Short-feature Film and Video Contest will be held under the 41st Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival.
Noting that there were many applications from several countries for this year's short-feature film and video contest, the commission members said that results of the contest would be made public at the same time with results of the national long-feature film contest.
