ISTANBUL - Austrian President Heinz Fischer, who held a series of talks in Turkey, returned to his country on Thursday.
Before leaving Turkey, Fischer and his spouse went on a boat tour in Bosphorus.
Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Hilmi Guler and director of Istanbul`s Topkapi Museum Ilber Ortayli accompanied Fischer during the one-hour tour.
Fischer arrived in the Turkish capital of Ankara on Monday upon the invitation of Turkey`s President Abdullah Gul.
Fischer held talks in Ankara, Istanbul and central province of Kayseri within the framework of his visit.
He met President Gul and held talks with Parliament Speaker Koksal Toptan in Ankara on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, he received Deniz Baykal, chairman of the main opposition Republican People`s Party (CHP).
Fischer, who attended the Turkish-Austrian Business Council meeting in Istanbul on Thursday, also received Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan at Ciragan Palace.
He inaugurated an archaeological exhibition at the Istanbul Archaeological Museum as well.
