TEL AVIV - A Turkish State Minister held talks in Israel on Thursday.
State Minister Nimet Cubukcu met Isaac Herzog, the Israeli Minister of Social Affairs, in the Israeli city of Tel Aviv.
Speaking prior to the meeting, Israeli minister Herzog thanked the Turkish government for its efforts aiming to establish peace between Israel and Syria.
Cubukcu said during the meeting that nearly 500,000 Israeli tourists visited Turkey every year.
"We want you to increase this figure to a million visitors," Cubukcu said.
Before coming to Tel Aviv, Cubukcu held talks with representatives of several NGOs in Jerusalem and Haifa, and visited various educational centers and schools for the disabled.
Cubukcu is scheduled to meet Ami Bergman, Turkey Director of American-Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, at breakfast on Friday.
