Austrian President Says Trade With Turkey Is Important To Boost Relations

KAYSERI - Austrian President Heinz Fischer said Wednesday that trade was an important tool to develop relations between Austria and Turkey, adding that the historical and traditional ties between the two countries mainly relied on economy.
Speaking at a meeting of the Austrian-Turkish business council in the central Turkish city of Kayseri, Fischer cited Nabucco project, a natural gas pipeline which would carry natural gas from Turkey to Austria, via Bulgaria, Romania, and Hungary, saying that Turkey would an important intersection for both Austria and Europe in general.
Fischer also said he hoped that his visit would be a significant step for the development of economic relations with Turkey.
