Simsek: Turkey Met Maastricht Criteria On Public Deficit

ANKARA - Turkish State Minister Mehmet Simsek said on Wednesday that Turkey met Maastricht criteria on public deficit which was very important in EU adjustment process.
Speaking at a committee meeting in Ankara, Simsek said that Turkey met this criteria due to fiscal discipline and determined privatization policies, which were pursued in recent period.
Simsek also said that predictability in economy increased thanks to medium-term fiscal framework.
