ISTANBUL - Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen said on Wednesday that Turkey`s exports in 2008 exceeded 50 billion USD.
"This figure, which was recorded in the last 4.5 months, is larger than the whole exports of 2003," added Tuzmen who attended the inauguration of the 14th Home Textile Fair in Istanbul.
Tuzmen said that more than 700 companies were participating in the fair and underlined that it was the world`s second largest home textile fair.
The fair in which 125 foreign companies are attending is expected to host 85,000 visitors.
