ANKARA - Austrian businessmen visited a Turkish informatics firm in Ankara on Wednesday.
Around 74 businessmen, accompanying Austrian President Heinz Fischer during his visit to Turkey, paid a visit to the informatics company HAVELSAN headquarters in the Turkish capital to diversify areas of cooperation between Turkey and Austria, a statement by the company said.
The Austrian delegation included businessmen working in areas such as energy, construction, finance, consulting, automotive, electronics, machinery and chemical industry.
Austrian businessmen received a briefing on the Turkish company, and saw the HAVELSAN facility and simulation laboratory.
HAVELSAN is a software and systems company developing global solutions in Defense and IT industries. HAVELSAN develops its core competencies in C4ISR, Simulation and Training Simulators, and Information Management Systems.
Austrian President Heinz Fischer, who arrived in Turkey on Monday, met Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Parliament Speaker Koksal Toptan on Tuesday. Fischer participated in a banquet hosted in his honor by President Gul on Tuesday evening.
President Gul and Fischer will attend a business council meeting in the central city of Kayseri on Wednesday.
Fischer is expected to proceed to Istanbul to inaugurate the "Artemis Exhibition" at the Istanbul Archeological Museum, and depart from Turkey on Thursday.
