Special Night Held In Belgrade To Promote Turkey Prior To Eurovision Song Test

BELGRADE - A "Turkish Night" was held in the Serbian capital, Belgrade in order to promote Turkey prior to the upcoming Eurovision Song Test to be held in the city.
Turkish band "Mor ve Otesi", which will represent Turkey at the contest, gave a concert at the "Turkish Night" held in Belgrade's well-known club Otard.
Nearly 600 guests attended the night.
Eurovision contestants from Sweden, Czech Republic, Macedonia, Serbia, Hungary and the Greek Cypriot community performed their songs at the "Turkish Night" as well.
"Mor ve Otesi" will compete for finals on Thursday. The finals will take place on May 24th.
The band "Mor ve Otesi" (Purple and Beyond) was set up in 1995 and released its first album "Sehir" (The City) in 1996.
Turkey ranked the top in Eurovision Song Contest in 2003 with Sertab Erener's song "Every way That I Can", while Turkish band Athena ranked the fourth in 2004 with its song "For Real".
