Turkish Security Forces Arrest 5,681 Illegal Aliens In Edirne In Last 6 Months

EDIRNE - Turkish security forces have arrested 5,681 illegal emigrants, who wanted to sneak into European countries, in northwestern Edirne province, in the last 6 months.
Officials told A.A correspondent that illegal aliens wanted to sneak into European countries for economic reasons and among the arrested ones there were mostly Iraqis, Iranians, Palestinians and Africans.
Officials said that emigrants are trying to enter Bulgaria and Greece via Edirne by highway or by boat through Meric River.
