SHARM EL-SHEIKH - Turkey`s Foreign Minister Ali Babacan is attending the World Economic Forum and holding bilateral talks in in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt on Sunday.
Babacan attended the opening session of the "World Economic Forum on the Middle East" during which U.S. President George Bush and Egyptian President Mohamed Hosni Mubarak delivered speeches.
Following the session, Babacan met with Iraqi Oil Minister Husayn al-Shahristani.
The two ministers are expected to discuss issues such as the inclusion of Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) in the list of companies that would explore new oil reserves in Iraq, Iraq`s expected law on hydrocarbon and the determination of the route of the Iraqi natural gas to be exported.
Babacan, who will continue his bilateral talks on Monday, is also expected to deliver a speech during a session titled "Fresh Strategies for Stability".
Turkey`s foreign minister is expected to meet media executives on Monday as well.
