ANKARA - The performance of the companies operating in the Turkish defence industry is increasing, a report released by Turkey`s Undersecretariat for Defence Industries said on Sunday.
According to the report, on the basis of projects, the endorsement of Turkish defence industry companies exceeded 2 billion USD in 2007.
Thanks to the high performance of the industry, the rate of meeting the needs through domestic sources rose up to 41.6 percent. Such figure is expected to reach 50 percent till 2010, officials said.
