BAGHDAD - Turkey`s special envoy to Iraq Murat Ozcelik said on Saturday that Turkey was making steps to open a Consulate General in Basra soon.
In an exclusive interview with the A.A. correspondent, Ozcelik said he met Iraqi executives, U.N. Special Envoy, ambassadors of the United States and Britain in Baghdad during his 4-day talks in Iraq.
Ozcelik said internal security in Iraq, security matters, terrorist PKK organization, relations between Turkey and Iraq, as well as Turkey`s efforts to open a consulate general in Basra were the topics of discussion.
