CANNES - "The Three Monkeys", a film by Turkish director Nuri Bilge Ceylan, was screened at the 61st Cannes Film Festival on Friday.
"The Three Monkeys" is competing for the "Palme d`Or" award at the festival.
Ceylan has been so far nominated three times for the "Golden Palm" prize.
The 61st Cannes Film Festival will end on May 25th.
The Cannes Film Festival, held for the first time in 1939, is one of the world`s oldest and most prestigious film festivals alongside Venice and Berlin. The festival is held annually (usually in May) at the Palais des Festivals et des Congres, in the resort town of Cannes, in the south of France.
