ISTANBUL - Kamran Usluer, a prominent Turkish actor, has passed away last night.
Sources said that Usluer had been receiving medical treatment at the intensive care unit of the Acibadem Hospital in Bakirkoy district of Istanbul.
Usluer who was born in Izmir in 1937 performed in a number of plays staged by the Istanbul Municipality's City Theatres and he retired from the City Theatres in 2002.
Usluer who was also among the cast of many Turkish movies won the ''Best Actor In A Supporting Role'' award of the Fifth Adana Golden Cocoon Film Festival in 1973 and ''Best Actor In Leading Role'' award of the 12th Ankara Film Festival in 2002.
