Chinese Delegation In Izmir

IZMIR - Ertugrul Isiksoy, coordinator of the Aegean Free Zone Inc. said Friday Chinese investors are eager to invest in Turkey.
A Chinese commercial delegation comprised of 20 businessmen from Tianjin city attended a meeting organized by the Aegean Region Chamber of Industry (EBSO), in Izmir on Friday.
Speaking at the meeting, Isiksoy said that "Izmir has become the number one choice of the Chinese for investments in Turkey. A large delegation from the Chinese Foreign Trade Ministry will arrive in Izmir in August, 2008. We will show them lands where they can constructtheir plants".
A high level executive of the EBSO, Ufuk Akgun, said that "the Chinese are interested in investing in Turkey due to the country`s proximity to Europe, its Customs Union advantages and high-quality production. Izmir is about to benefit from great opportunities in the upcoming term".
