TEKIRDAG - Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen said Thursday Turkey was becoming the center of attraction for foreign investors.
Speaking at the inauguration of German Putzmeister company`s first factory in north-western province of Tekirdag, Tuzmen said that foreign investors were arriving in Turkey based on their confidence in the potential and stability of the Turkish market.
Reminding that Turkey`s foreign trade volume reached 280 billion USD, Tuzmen said Turkey had achieved economic success in the last few years.
"Macro economic balances have been adjusted. We have been successful in dealing with inflation. Productivity in the Turkish industry increased. Public financing has been re-shaped. Important structural reforms have been made in Turkey. All of these factors made the Turkish economy stronger and able to deal with global financial shocks," Tuzmen said.
"Globalization makes it a must for structural changes. Change is inevitable in all areas of the economy. Turkey is turning into a center of attraction for foreign investors. We support our strongest traits with right policies," Tuzmen also said.
