International Road Transport Union's Fair Opened In Istanbul

ISTANBUL - The LOGIST "Road Transportation, Intermodal Systems, Loading, Unloading, Stowage, Storing and Logistics Industry Fair" held simultaneously with the 31st World Congress of the International Road Transport Union (IRU) has been opened at Istanbul`s Lufti Kirdar Congress and Exhibition Centre.
Making the opening remarks, Turkish Transportation Minister Binali Yildirim said, "Turkey`s unique position in its geography enables it to become a regional logistic base. This fair will inform people on projects on new logistic centers in the world.
The fair organized by the Union of Turkish Chambers & Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) in association with the International Transporters` Association and Federation of Turkish Bus Owners will remain open till May 16th.
Meanwhile, the 31st World Congress of the IRU will begin in Istanbul on Thursday. IRU`s world congress will be attended by around 2,000 people from 70 countries.
