Istanbul To Host 64th IATA General Assembly Between June 1-3

ISTANBUL - Istanbul is getting ready to host the 64th General Assembly of the Air Transport Association (IATA) .
A press release issued by IATA`s Corporate Relations Director Anthony Concil said the General Assembly would begin with big celebrations.
Stating that financially it had been an important year for the air transportation industry, Concil said overall air carriers globally earned 5.6 billion USD.
Concil said the rise in efficiency and the growth in economies compensated for the rise in oil prices.
The World Air Transport Summit will be held simultaneously with IATA`s General Assembly between June 1-3.
