ISTANBUL - A leading European sports organization will have a meeting in the Turkish province of Istanbul.
The European Non-Governmental Sports Organization (ENGSO) would hold its 16th general assembly in Istanbul between May 16th and 18th, sports authorities said on Wednesday.
Turkey`s National Olympiad Committee will host the general assembly at the Yesilkoy Cinar Hotel, and around 80 delegates from 23 countries will participate in the meeting.
ENGSO President Birgitta Kervinen will chair the meeting, the opening session of which will be attended by Turkish State Minister Murat Basesgioglu for Sports.
The ENGSO is a non-profit making or distributing organization with public responsibilities with seat in House of Sports in Paris, France. ENGSO is today the only European sports organization having been granted consultative status by the Council of Europe.
