Turkish President Gul Formally Welcomes Queen Elizabeth II Of United Kingdom

ANKARA - Turkish President Abdullah Gul formally welcomed Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom at Cankaya Presidential Palace on Tuesday.
Turkish State Minister Mehmet Aydin and Foreign Minister Ali Babacan were also present at the ceremony.
Before the ceremony, Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom visited Anitkabir, the Mausoleum of Ataturk--the Founder of the Republic of Turkey.
She wrote to Anitkabir special notebook; "it is an honor to pay my respects to Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, a much valued friend of United Kingdom and one of the great figures of modern history."
