BRUSSELS - The spring meetings of the Militarl Committee, the highest military decision-making organ of NATO, will begin in Brussels on Wednesday.
General Staff Chief Gen. Yasar Buyukanit will attend the two-day meetings orn behalf of Turkey.
Ongoing military operations in Afghanistan and Kosovo will be high on agenda of the meetings.
More than 60 chiefs of general staff from the allied countries, Partnership for Peace (PfP) countries, the Mediterranean Dialogue countries, Ukraine and Russia were invited to the meetings.
During the talks, an agreement will be signed by Germany, Italy, Spain, Slovakia, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia to turn the cyber defense center in Estonian capital city of Tallin into the NATO Excellence Center.
