Rize To Become World Brand In Organic Tea

RIZE - Efforts have been under way to make the northeastern province of Rize a world brand in the organic tea sector, top official of a leading tea company in Turkey said on Tuesday.
Ekrem Yuce, general director of Tea Enterprises (Caykur), told the A.A correspondent that there had been a great demand for organic products in Turkey and the world.
"Hemsin (town of Rize) became a pilot region for production of organic tea. It will also be produced in tea gardens in Rize, Trabzon, Giresun and Artvin provinces. We are working to introduce East Black Sea Region as the region of organic tea to the world," he said.
Turkey`s climate offers several advantages for production of tea, Yuce said.
Efforts are under way to construct an organic tea factory in Hemsin, he stated.
