DOGUBAYAZIT - Turkish gendarmery arrested an Iranian citizen with 71 kilograms of base morphine in Dogubayazit town of eastern Agri province, sources said on Monday.
Sources told A.A correspondent that the gendarmery, suspicious of behaviors of Iranian Hacý Cemsit Muhammed who entered Turkey from Gurbulak border pass, searched two sacks Muhammed was carrying, and confiscated 71 kilograms of base morphine.
Turkish gendarmery confirmed that Muhammed confessed he brought the morphine from Pakistan to Iran, and then to Turkey in order to smuggle it into Europe.
