HELSINKI - The issues of terrorist organization PKK and the fight against terror came up during Turkish Foreign Minister and Chief Negotiator for EU talks Ali Babacan`s discussions with his Finnish counterpart Alexander Stubb in Helsinki on Monday.
Babacan informed Stubb that the terrorist organization PKK has activities in Finland. In return, Stubb told Babacan that "when details are provided, the Finnish government will take action (on terrorist organization PKK) within the framework of laws that exist in Finland".
Stubb informed Babacan that "Finlands condemns PKK terror".
Babacan-Stubb talks also focused on bilateral relations, Turkey`s EU process, Cyprus, the Caucasus, EU-NATO cooperation and the closure case filed against Turkey`s Justice and Development (AK) Party.
In regard to Turkey`s EU process, Stubb told Babacan that "sooner or later, there will be light for Turkey at the end of the EU tunnel".
