BRATISLAVA - Turkey-Slovakia Joint Economic Commission meeting has begun in Slovakian capital city of Bratislava.
Turkey`s Justice Minister Mehmet Ali Sahin, who also serves as co-chairman of the commission, arrived in Bratislava to attend the meeting.
Sahin will first meet Slovakian Secretary of State for Economy Ivan Rybarik over luncheon.
He will also attend opening of the Slovakia-Turkey Chamber of Industry & Commerce established by Turkish businessmen operating in Slovakia.
Sahin will preside a commission meeting on Tuesday and sign a protocol. Later, he will meet Commission Co-chairman Lubomir Jahnetek, Construction & Regional Development Minister Marian Janusek and Transportation, Post, & Telecommunications Minister Lubomir Vazny.
The current trade volume between Turkey and Slovakia is about 1 billion USD.
