Turkish Firm Exports Bicycle-taxi To United States

KONYA - A Turkish firm operating in the central city of Konya exports its bicycle-taxis, also known as pedicabs or rickshaws, to the United States and Britain.
In an exclusive interview with the A.A, Ali Kucuksakalli, one of partners of the Sakallioglu Firm, said on Monday that they developed the bicycle-taxis two years ago.
"It is a small-scale vehicle used for transport. Bicycle-taxis are widely used in major cities around the world and are usually found in major urban centers, tourist attractions, and events that draw large crowds. Our annual bicycle-taxi manufacture is only 100. We export all our products to the United States and Britain. We aim at entering the Chinese market," he said.
