ANKARA - Exports from Turkey increased by 1.2 percent while imports reduced by 4.5 percent in April of 2004 over the previous month.
The State Institute of Statistics (DIE) announced foreign trade indices for April of 2004.
Export quantity index rose by 20.7 percent, and increase in import quantity index reached to 41.2 percent in April.
By the average of four-month periods, export quantity index increased by 13 percent and import quantity index rose by 37.3 percent.
By the average of 12-month periods as of April, export quantity index rose by 19.5 percent and import quantity index climbed by 37.4 percent.
In April, export price index increased by 0.5 percent, and import price index climbed by 1.6 percent.
By the average of 12-month periods as of April, export price index rose by 11.4 percent and import price index climbed by 6.1 percent.
