ISTANBUL - Pangea Day, a global day of films, music and speakers, will be held in Istanbul on May 10th with live broadcast from Cairo, Jerusalem, Ramallah, London, New York and Rio de Janeiro.
The Pangea Day, coordinated from 6 locations the program will be broadcast in 7 languages to millions of people through the internet, television and mobile phones.
The event will begin at 9:00 p.m. at Istanbul`s Sultanahmet square. Twenty-four 24 short films will be screened, "which were chosen based on their ability to inspire, transform, and help us see the world through another person`s eyes."
The 4-hour Pangea Day program will include visionary speakers and live music in addition to the featured films. Queen Noor of Jordan, CNN`s Christiane Amanpour, musician/activist Bob Geldof and Iranian rock star Hypernova are among the presenters taking part.
