Consumer Rights Association To Indict Officials For Train Crash

ANKARA - The Consumer Rights Association will indict officials for the derailment of high-speed train in northwestern province of Sakarya.
Releasing a statement, the Consumer Rights Association said on Saturday that it would indict officials to the Ankara Chief Prosecutors' Office on Monday for ignoring consumers' safety and human life and for turning a blind eye to all warnings of scientists and experts.
A total 37 people were killed and 81 others were injured when a high-speed train derailed near Pamukova town of northwestern province of Sakarya on Thursday night. The train, traveling from Istanbul to Ankara, was carrying nine crew members and 234 passengers.
