Turkey Has Made Progress In Fight Against Terrorism, Gen. Basbug

KAHRAMANMARAS - Commander of the Turkish Land Forces General Ilker Basbug said Friday Turkey has achieved serious progress in fight against terrorism in 2008.
Speaking at a ceremony held in south-eastern province of Kahramanmaras, Gen. Basbug said: "The terrorist organization is in a state of confusion and turmoil" .
"Just last night (Thursday), we conducted a successful air operation on Mount Qandil where the terrorists were based. The terrorist organization is trying to get re-organized. Our operations against them will go on unabated until desired results are obtained," Gen. Basbug also said.
