ROTTERDAM - Cappadocia region in central Turkey was promoted in the 2nd Multifestijn 2008 Culture Fair in the Netherlands.
Four stands, namely "Fairy Chimneys", "Cappadocia Culture Association", Avanos Pots and Pans" and "Cappadocia Carpet" opened in the fair in Van Nelle Fair Center in Rotterdam.
Nevsehir (central province) Governor Asim Hacimustafaoglu, Avanos district governor Mehmet Unlu and Turkish consul general in Rotterdam Esen Altug attended the inauguration ceremony.
20,000 people from 30 countries would visit the fair.
Cappadocia is a famous and popular tourist destination, as it has unique geological, historic and cultural features, such as sedimentary rocks formed in lakes and streams, and ignimbrite deposits erupted from ancient volcanoes approximately 9 to 3 million years ago.
