Bush, Kerry In Tight Race: Poll

LOS ANGELES, July 23 (AFP) - Republican George W. Bush and his Democratic rival John Kerry remain neck-and-neck in the US presidential race three and one half months ahead of the vote, a survey published Friday in The Los Angeles Times found.
A total of 48 percent of voters would choose Kerry and 46 percent the current president, the survey found.
If indepdendent Ralph Nader remains in the race, 46 percent said they would vote for Kerry, 44 percent for Bush and three percent for Nader.
In June Kerry had a seven point lead in a hypothetical race only against Bush.
The poll of 1,529 voters was taken July 17-21.
