MOSCOW, July 23 (AFP) - Iraq Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari is due to arrive in Moscow on July 24 for a two-day visit, the Russian foreign affairs ministry said Friday.
Zebari is due to meet with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov to discuss "the normalization process in Iraq, prospects for progress in the political process, and issues of bilateral relations," the ministry said in a statement.
Russia virulently opposed the US-led war in Iraq last year and has been keen to reclaim its Soviet-era oil interests in the country.
