ANKARA - A total of 36 people died and 79 others were injured in the high-speed train accident which occurred in Pamukova town of northwestern Sakarya province, Turkish Prime Ministry Crisis Management Bureau said on Friday.
Releasing a statement, the Bureau said that experts continued to work identify people who died in the accident, noting that teams were exerting efforts to clear the wreckage and re-open the railway to traffic.
