ANKARA - Experts started investigating the speedometer of the high-speed train which derailed en route from Istanbul to Ankara, Suleyman Karaman, the Director General of Turkish State Railways (TCDD), said on Thursday.
Karaman told A.A correspondent that the speedometer was showing the speed of the train, which went off the tracks near Pamukova town of northwestern Sakarya province, during the journey and just before the crash.
Whether the train was travelling faster than it should have would become clear after the investigation, Karaman added.
