Tuzmen Expresses Determination To Transform Mediterranean To A Free Trade Zone Before 2010

ANKARA - ''We are determined to transform Mediterranean region to a free trade zone before 2010'', Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen said on Thursday.
Tuzmen met European Union (EU) Commissioner for Trade Pascal Lamy, who is currently in Turkey for the Fourth Euro-Mediterranean (EUROMED) Trade Conference held in Istanbul.
Stating that the Fourth EUROMED Trade Conference was very successful, Tuzmen noted that significant decisions were taken in the conference in which 170 foreign delegates and trade and economy ministers from Mediterranean and EU countries participated.
