ISTANBUL - Eurasian countries should cooperate on alternative energy sources, Turkey`s Energy & Natural Resources Minister Hilmi Guler said on Thursday.
Speaking at the 11th Eurasia Economy Summit in Istanbul, Guler said oil prices hit a record 120 U.S. dollars per barrel and the figure could probably rise more.
"We should attach importance to alternative energy sources such as wind and solar energy," he said.
"There should be a cooperation in the area of alternative energy among Eurasian countries. We should develop projects in this area. We can jointly product wind tribunes," Guler said.
Turkey can also become a center in regard to the nuclear energy and Eurasian countries should also cooperate in this matter, he said.
