Prime Minister Erdogan To Attend The Inauguration Of Mostar Bridge

ANKARA - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will go to Bosnia-Herzegovina on Friday to attend opening of the re-built historical Mostar Bridge.
Sources said on Thursday that Erdogan would go to Mostar city of Bosnia-Herzegovina to attend the inauguration of the historical bridge.
Erdogan, who will deliver a speech during a cocktail party that will be hosted by the Presidential Council of Bosnia-Herzegovina, will also attend to the opening of Cejvan Cehaja Turkish Bath.
Erdogan is expected to return to Turkey after attending dinner that will be offered in honor of heads of state and government.
The historical bridge was bombarded by Croatians during the civil war in 1993.
Mimar Hayruddin, a disciple of the famous Turkish architect Sinan (considered as the father of classic Ottoman architecture), constructed the bridge in 1566.
The bridge was 29 meters in length and stood at a height of 20 meters, a classic example of a single span, stone arch bridge and was an example of advanced technology in its time. It became a World Heritage site during the twentieth century.
