ANKARA - Foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank dropped by 853 million U.S. dollars between July 9th and 16th, 2004.
According to the Central Bank's weekly statement, the Central Bank's foreign exchange reserves, which were 33,649 million U.S. dollars on July 9th, dropped to 32,796 million U.S. dollars on July 16th.
On the other hand, the total of foreign exchange reserves of banks and private finance organizations rose by 403 million U.S. dollars, from 13,872 million U.S. dollars to 14,275 million U.S. dollars, between June 25th and July 2nd.
The international reserves of Turkey, comprising gold and foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank, commercial banks and private finance organizations, climbed 1,32 million U.S. dollars from 47,827 million U.S. dollars to 48,859 million U.S. dollars between June 25th and July 2nd.
